Bryson's Brain Teaser

There's a chicken, a fox, a sack of grain, and a bridge. You must get them all to the other side of the bridge, but you can only carry one at a time. If left alone with the grain, the chicken will eat the grain. If left alone with the fox, the fox will eat the chicken. How do you get them all across the bridge without anybody or anything getting eaten?

  1. Take chicken across, return, take fox across, return with chicken, take grain across, return, take chicken across.

Better question; how the hell did you get them all there and who travels around with those three things in the first place?

  2. Answer to Ian's question: Blame Kleiner's shitty portal technology.

  3. If we let them eat each other, that still counts as bringing them over.
